Pre-wedding Boston

My cousin Elizabeth Galle got married last Saturday, on October 10, in beautiful Boston, Massachusetts to the very wonderful Ian Marcotte. Although I was not their wedding photographer, I did enjoy being at the wedding and taking pictures during the cocktail hour and around Boston prior to the ceremony. These are some pictures by the riverbank across the street from the hotel we stayed in, the Royal Sonesta. I will post a few pictures of the wedding/cocktail hour as well when I have gone through them.

Baby Luke

I babysat my little cousin on Friday and he is just the cutest thing. The last time I watched him he cried the entire time (probably six hours....) this time he just laughed, he's so cute! His new thing is to growl so in most pictures that's what he's doing. He just turned one in September and is just so loving and happy.

An amazing and inspirational photographer. He was a great influence during my fashion photography class at Syracuse, and the photographer I chose to emulate for one of our class assignments. His work is timeless and absolutely beautiful.

Child and Grandfather Fishing

The other day I was photographing the Cape May County Bar Foundation Run on the Beach in Sea Isle City and I came upon a young child fishing with his grandfather. They were having so much fun together and were so animated that I started talking to them and took a few photos of them fishing. This is Evan Tomaine, 6, and his grandfather Bill Szlanic surf fishing on the beach at JFK Boulevard. The two were up early and going crabbing later in the day. Szlanic and his wife were visiting Sea Isle for his 40th Anniversary, along with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson. He explained they were so grateful to be able to have the opportunity to come to the shore and enjoy aquatic activities such as fishing, boating, and crabbing.

Surfing Pictures

Okay...so the Flickr account for Sea Isle City isn't happening....the pictures are now being transferred to our new Facebook page because there is not a spot for them on out website. Please join our group and become a fan of Sea Isle City Community Services Department to see pictures from the 2009 season and to find out what's going on in Sea Isle each week. We still have a lot of events happening on the weekends throughout the month of October.

Besides City events, the other day I went to the beach to take pictures of Tommy and some friends while they were surfing. It was one of the first times I took surfing pictures, but I did come back with a couple I liked (really just a couple) and a few that aren't necessarily good surfing pictures, but that I thought were fun.
